Agenda
Meet 2nd Tuesday each month. We meet after lunch and socialize informally to wait for late arrivals. We discuss "topics of interest" to the group. Review articles from Stroke Connection or Stroke Smart. If a newcomer is present, people share their personal stories of their stroke recovery.
Notes
Groups have been meeting since Jan 1992. Many members have been coming for years, so when it's only the old members, the meetings are more "Stroke Club" like. Our group focus is more on "Life After Stroke" and to reiterate the recovery process. We are very rural and Have also tried to incorporate information/education/support for those with aphasia. We have also invited head-injury folks.
