Generation of Heartsavers

Be a part of the next Generation of Heartsavers

The American Heart Association wants all students and educators to learn CPR & First Aid to create a generation of people that are prepared to act in an emergency, putting more qualified lifesavers in our communities - creating the next Generation of Heartsavers. The CPR in Schools Training Kit™ enables students to learn the lifesaving skills of CPR in just one class period. Plus, the easy-to-use kit can be facilitated by anyone and is designed specifically for the needs of schools.

About 90 percent of people who suffer out-of-hospital cardiac arrests die. CPR, especially if performed immediately, can double or triple a person's chance of survival. The kit contains everything needed to train 10 to 20 people at once in CPR. Repeat the process to train a class, a grade, staff, school organization or your entire campus.

The CPR in Schools Training Kit™ is an educational program that provides a unique opportunity for educators and students alike to bring CPR training to their campuses. We have developed online information that will provide you with everything you need to plan, organize and execute a CPR training event for students on campus. Make a difference in your community with CPR in Schools.

Teacher Testimonial

"The best thing for me has been seeing the change in the students. Many of the students had doubts coming in but you could see their faces light up when they realized they could actually save a life."

– Kathy Moshier, Assistant Principal,
Desert Willow Intermediate School, Palmdale, CA

Cardiac Emergency Response Plan

A cardiac emergency response plan is a written document that establishes specific steps to reduce death from cardiac arrest in school settings. A carefully orchestrated response to cardiac emergencies will reduce deaths in school settings, and ensure that chaos does not lead to an improper or no response. Preparation is the essential key to saving lives.
