Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens is available in two different training methods – eLearning and classroom training.

Is AHA Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens the right course for me?

The Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens course is designed specifically for workers with a reasonable chance of coming into contact with bloodborne pathogens such as correctional officers, childcare workers, security guards, maintenance workers, school personnel, hotel housekeepers, health and fitness club staff and tattoo artists. This course is designed to meet OSHA requirements for bloodborne pathogens training when paired with site-specific instruction. Upon completion of the online course, students receive a course completion certificate that can be presented to employers. Please contact your employer to ensure that you are selecting the correct course.

Format

eLearning - this course can be completed 100% online at a learner’s pace.
This classroom course, led by an AHA Instructor or Facilitator, teaches employees how to protect themselves and others from being exposed to blood or blood-containing materials.

Course Completion

The online portion can be completed in 1 hour.
The classroom course can be completed in 1 hour
